LG has issued a press invite for an LG G Flex-related Hong Kong press event for early December, prompting speculation from the media that the company will launch the handset in additional market next month.
Chinese online publication 3G.cn says that the Hong Kong event will take place on December 3, as it has already received an invitation for the press event (see below). Apparently the LG G Flex will be launched in Hong Kong immediately after the event, although actual pricing details for the handset aren’t available yet.
In addition to Hong Kong, the phone is also expected to hit stores in France, where Orange has an exclusive deal for the handset. Pricing details and an actual launch date aren’t available yet, and it’s unclear whether the phone will also be launched in other markets where the French carrier has a presence.
U.S. versions of the G Flex will follow at some point in 2014, with AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile being rumored to carry the device. So far the LG G Flex is only selling in South Korea.
