While the LG G Flex is obviously best known for its unique curved shape, there’s also a few new software tricks that were introduced with the handset. Probably the coolest of these software enhancements would be “Split View”, a split-screen multitasking mode that’s basically LG’s take on Samsung’s Multi-Window feature.

Recently Samsung has started rolling out multi-window support to quite a few of its new and older flagship devices through Premium Suite upgrades, but – at least for now – Split View remains an LG G Flex-only feature. For those that don’t mind downloading and flashing a few files however, Split View has now been ported over to the LG G2!

The new port comes to us thanks to the efforts of XDA developer bigfau, and is reportedly very stable without any major issues or bugs. The only snag is that the feature has a few compatibility problems, such as the inability to use Tapatalk and Hangouts at the same time. Of course these limitations are rather small and certainly not a deal-breaker.

The Split View feature has been confirmed to work with almost all variants of the LG G2, including the D800, D802, LS980, VS980 and D802. To download the file and for instructions on how to flash it, you’ll want to head on over to the XDA Developer’s forum.
