Just ahead of MWC in February, LG officially took the wraps off the LG G2 Mini, a smaller and less-spec-heavy alternative to its G2 flagship device. At the time, LG also revealed that the handset would arrive first to Russia and its neighboring countries with a target of March, with global plans to follow in April with countries throughout Europe, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa.
With March approaching its end quickly, it’s pretty clear that LG missed its original release target for the LG G2 Mini. So when exactly will we start to see the handset land into the hands of consumers? LG has now revealed that the handset will become available at the beginning of April to Russia and its neighbors, with the rest of the markets to follow shortly thereafter. No specific release dates or pricing just yet, though we imagine it won’t be long until LG gives us more details.
The LG G2 Mini is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 CPU with just 1GB of RAM. Other specs include a 4.7-inch display with a 960×540 resolution, a 2440 mAh battery and Android 4.4. KitKat. The handset will have support for 4G LTE in Europe and Asia, though the Russian version will be a dual-SIM 3G offering.
