After landing on T-Mobile and AT&T’s network, the LG G2 KitKat update is now on its way over to Sprint as well! For those keeping score, that means Verizon is currently the only major U.S. carrier not to introduce a KitKat update for the handset. The new software is listed as version ZVB and is expected to start pushing out today, though as always it may take a few days to reach everyone.
So what’s new here? Very little actually, other than than the improvements you’d expect from Android 4.4 KitKat. Judging by what we’ve seen from T-Mobile and AT&T, there is bound to be a few other minor user improvements and bug fixes. Sprint also mentions that their version of the update specifically addresses a problem with a Next Radio audio issue.
So far, just about every KitKat update we’ve seen has been pretty void of carrier/manufacturer add-ons, which isn’t a bad thing, especially since KitKat brings plenty of goodies such as Google Cloud printing, immersive mode support and much more. It’s unclear if the update has actually started arriving to any users just yet, though you can always check manually by heading to Settings> System updates> Update LG software> Check now.
So how about it, anyone get the update yet? If so, did you notice any of major changes worth mentioning?
